Company History & Core Values
History
K&K Inc. was founded in 1965 by Frank and June Kelp when they opened their first office in White Deer, Texas. They initially started with just a pickup truck, backhoe, and dump truck. In 1990, Frank’s son, Kent Kelp, and wife, Vicki Kelp, took over leadership of the company. Kent continued to expand K&K Inc.’s capabilities.
In 2015, Kent’s son, Kirk Kelp, and his wife, Ashley Kelp, took over and continue to pursue the family dream. Through 59 years of operation, K&K Inc’s family-owned business spans three generations and has grown into a premier energy services construction company serving multiple states across the U.S.

1. Partnerships
We focus on developing mutually beneficial partnerships with our clients and providers. In doing so, we prioritize a relational over transactional approach with an abundance mindset that understands we are better if all parties win. If we focus on effectively serving others, we will not need to worry about making money.

Profits are the oil that keeps the engine running. We strive for a self-employed mentality, working and making decisions as if we own the business. We succeed as a team and celebrate our successes together.
3. Excellence in the Ordinary
We understand that to reach the standard we demand of ourselves, we must pursue excellence in the everyday fundamentals that drive our business. Taking pride in our work and executing these fundamentals with excellence provides fulfillment and will make us great.
4. Continuous Improvement
As individuals and as a company, we strive to make ourselves 1% better every day. Without a focus on continually bettering ourselves, we will stagnate and migrate toward mediocrity.
5. Personal Integrity
Colossians 3:23 instructs us to do our work as unto the Lord. We are accountable to Him, ourselves and each other, which means we take pride in working with character.

The work we do impacts our clients, our families and our communities. We are doing work that matters.

We treat each other like family and subject our personal egos for the greater good. We are called to do all that we do with love for others.
8. Enjoying the Journey
Loving what we do and who we do it with day in and day out provides fulfillment. Our work is not our lives, but what we do and how we do it is an extension of who we are. We strive to bring the best version of ourselves to our work and enjoy the ride.
